My 5 Favorite Actors and a Quick Example of Why
1 - Will Smith
He is my absolute favorite actor. He can be very funny, as he showed with the time he spent on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and he can be very serious and moving and sometimes even yank a tear or two out of you, as he shows in movies like The Pursuit of Happiness. He switches it up a little bit with this clip, of him being dramatic, on the Fresh Prince. I almost cried watching it the first time.
2 - Jack Nicholson
To me, he's no Will Smith, but he is good enough to make it to number 2 on my list. He has that classic smile that, even when genuine, is almost predatory. In this scene from 5 easy pieces, he tries to explain to a stubborn waitress, that he just wants a side of toast.
3 - Malcolm McDowell
Ah, the infamous Alex from A Clockwork Orange. My favorite movie of all time, mind you. But that does not make him my favorite actor. Or even the second favorite. But he is still good enough to be 3rd. This is him in a scene from A Clockwork Orange, in which he is in the hospital, and is going through a test with the nurse. Very funny indeed.
4 - Heath Ledger
Heath. He never was my favorite actor. He was always only pretty good in his movies. Until of course, the Dark Knight. This is probrobly the greatest acting I've seen in a movie. Ever. He transformed himself completely, and you can't even see the actor, just the character. He modified every little thing. Voice. Appearance. Even posture. This is the party crashing scene from the Dark Knight. Rest in peace Heath.
5 - Ed Norton
He might be the last on my list, but mind you this IS the top five. This is the role that made me a fan of Ed Norton. And it's not Fight Club! This is him in a scene from Primal Fear. (WARNING-This scene DOES have alot of cussing in it.)
Why don't you let me know what your favorite actors are ?
