Audio Tools: Magix Music Maker and Audacity

Website Review

One thing I like most in my life is music. I listen to a lot of music and I listen to it often. I’ve heard pretty much every genre. Not only do I love listening to music, I love making music. I have played drums and keyboard, and even saxophone, but my instrument of choice is definitely the guitar. I play the guitar every day, sometimes for hours on end. I make sure its tuned perfectly before I play. Usually I run through the scales first, but some days I just jump right into some jammy-jam. Some of the things I mess around with turn out to be instrumentals only. Problem is I don’t have a band and need to spend more time on lyrics.

Aside from guitar, when I get the chance, I get on my computer to make music with a cool music making program called Magix Music Maker 11. I only have the demo, but its still alot of fun and has some cool tools for mixing phat beats. You can get up to version 14 from download.com.

Some other software that I’ve been using lately is the freeware Audacity, which allows you to mix tracks easily. There are lots of free plug-in effects for Audacity; I have a pack of 90 effects. If you know of cool music software, especially freeware, drop a comment about it. :]

I think this article was really a good beginning to a potential series of articles about this topic. So many people act like they understand what they are writing about when it comes to this stuff and most of the time, hardly anyone actually get it. You seem to know about it though, so I think you should start writing more. Thank you!

My friend referred me to your site, so I thought I’d read it for myself. Very interesting insights, will be back for more!
